Hi, I'm Joan. 

Still and Mundane has been created to be an encouragement to others through the Word of God. The idea of being rooted and present in the day to day happenings of life. Each day is an opportunity to get closer to God and a chance to be in fellowship with the Creator of the universe, our Heavenly Father, and friend.

My desire is to create daily reminders of God's goodness, portraying the beauties of His creations, and reflecting the true creator of this world.

This took years in the making —thoughts of creating something like this actually brought fears of the unknown. But by faith, God is showing me that He is/will always be with me, every step of the way. And I am not alone in this new adventure.

I was raised in NYC (childhood) and Maryland (teen years). Attended Savannah College of Art and Design, also known as SCAD and graduated with a BFA in interior design. I currently reside in Denver, Colorado with my husband and my sweet quirky corgi, Lucy. Aside from interior design, I have a passion for handlettering (which you will see often), painting, graphic design, and fashion. You can say, I love a good mix of modern and fine art.

Oh and a few other things about myself —I can never get sick of fries, kimbab, denim, and Disney.
